The following therapy groups are offered throughout the year. For more details about each individual group we offer, please give us a call.:

This group includes weekly consultation by a personal trainer/karate instructor, in addition to qualified occupational and physical therapists. The group emphasizes strengthening and endurance, bilateral motor coordination, sequencing, social interaction, and praxis (which refers to the ability to conceptualize, motor plan and execute unfamiliar motor tasks). Group sizes range from 4-7 children. We offer different levels of groups from beginners, in which the child may need more hands-on help, to advanced, in which the children are independent and participate in more advanced motor activities.

This year-round group run by an occupational therapist focuses on improving self-regulation, which is the ability to attain, maintain, and change arousal/alertness so that it is appropriate for a task or situation. Many techniques and strategies are adapted from The Alert Program® for Self-Regulation as well as the Zones of Regulation®. In addition to promoting self-regulation, various therapeutic activities are utilized to incorporate strength and endurance, bilateral motor coordination and praxis (which refers to the ability to conceptualize, motor plan and execute unfamiliar motor tasks).
